GIS

Our spatial management people have over 20 years’ experience working in construction, mining, and forestry, and have strong technical capabilities from identifying and implementing simple data solutions to complex projects.

Archaeologists

Our archaeologists are highly experienced in all stages of indigenous and non-indigenous archaeological survey and excavation processes.

Auditors

Our auditors have a solid understanding of legislation and contract management – identifying compliance gaps or potential risks to clients and providing solutions and processes to de-risk projects

Negotiators

Our negotiators have undertaken training in the skill of negotiating. They possess a solid understanding of Native Title and Cultural Heritage legalisation and strong knowledge of effective field techniques and processes. This skill base ensures our client’s interest is protected whilst also delivering agreements that provide for practical and workable management processes.

Mediators

Our expert mediators are experienced in assisting parties to negotiate and reach a decision involving disputes. Additionally, our mediators chair native title and cultural heritage based committees as Independent Experts.

Steve White

Managing Director, Spinifex Pty Ltd

Originally qualified as a Geologist with a background in gold and base metal exploration and mining in Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia, Steve has built up a team of diverse and resource-centric professionals through Spinifex over 14 years to deliver timely and efficient land access solutions for major resources and infrastructure clients in all Australian jurisdictions. He has lived and worked in all States and Territories with a soft spot for his five and a half years covering the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Steve enjoys major party negotiations and working with good collaborators to find creative and practical outcomes for his clients.

Steve continuously increases his skills and experience at leading institutions such as Harvard University, Stanford University and associations and events in New Zealand in fields of endeavour like negotiations; what it is that outstanding professional services firms do; and design thinking principles and applying these to support the business and alignment interests of Spinifex and others. Steve has contributed to policy initiatives through involvement in various resource and entrepreneurial groups and has held part time roles such as a desert survival instructor and mediator. Personal interests include sport and physical extension, acro-yoga, adventure travel, supporting his family, mentoring, applying design principles to complex problems, assisting start-ups and contributing to local communities.
